APPLICATION :
Medium voltage overhead construction is similar to bare wire construction except the cables are insulated. These cables are usually supported by polymeric pin insulators or polymeric post insulators and terminated using deadends. Lightning protection is essential to prevent insulation breakdown at support positions during the passage of lightning surges.
